Nightwish algunos detalles de "Imaginarium"

'Imaginarium' es el nombre del nuevo proyecto de Nightwish, que involucra desde luego un album, pero además también habrá un film,.

El disco estará compuesto por 12-13 tracks dependiendo de si separana el tema maestro de 20 minutos en 2 partes o lo dejan como uno solo.

Se espera sea un album mucho mas melódico que el anterior, conteniendo partes orquestales muy interesantes para enriquecer toda la mezcla.

En cuanto al film, este será dirigido por Stobe Harju, y este seguira la línea del album, pero también incluirá dialogos, sin embargo los actores que participarán en ella aún no estan seleccionados.

Aún faltan bastantes detalles por revelar, la banda dará una conferencia de prensa al respecto se espera que en esta sema que viene.

Iron Maiden - "The Final Frontier" (Reseña Final)

Como de costumbre se que nos tardamos en publicar la reseña para este album (y para muchos otros), pero lo importante es, compartirla con uds, para saber que piensan de esta reciente obra de una de las bandas mas grandes del genero y la música en general, ya todos hemos escuchado "The Final Frontier" de Iron Maiden, cumplió las expectativas?

Habría que aclarar algunas cosas para empezar, este nuevo disco de Iron Maiden, nos tomó por sorpresa desde que nos enteramos que ya estaba en proceso de grabación, pasando por la a proposito elaborada polémica de su título, hasta el producto final que tenemos en nuestras manos y oidos, "The Final Frontier", tiene de todo un poco y llenará los gustos de la mayoría de los fans (aunque no de todos desde luego), principalmente por 2 factores: Es muy distinto del album anterior, y Los cambios de ritmo y textura dentro del mismo disco son bastante apreciables para otorgar una diversidad robusta al trabajo entero.

Precisamente tenemos que destacar esta diversidad de texturas y ritmos para llegar a una conclusión con el disco, y es que cuando cada tema dura entre los 5 y 11 minutos, lo que vas a buscar es, que este justificado dicho tiempo.
El primer tema, 'Satellite 15...The Final Frontier', tiene una gran introducción, hacia lo que se vuelve una canción clasica de Iron Maiden y con un coro clasico de cualquier genero.

'El Dorado', creo que generó igual o mas polémica que el mismo título del album, y es que las opiniones fueron bastante divididas, lo cierto es, que el tema goza del sonido tradicional de Maiden con melodía oscura y bastante ritmica, pero con una fuerza vocal y un coro dignos de destacar por encajar perfectamente, aunque no es el mejor tema del album, pero si cumple su objetivo.

'Isle Of Avalon' es un tema muy digno de destacar, siempre y cuando te gusten el tipo de introducciones como las que tiene este, es uno de los tracks mas largos, pero los cambios y progresiones estan a la orden del día, tiene una elaboración extraordinaria, y una intensidad adecuada para cada sección.

'The Alchemist' es creo que el tema mas ritmico del disco, y la energía se siente de principio a fin, probablemente el track mas facil de disfrutar para los fans de todo tipo.
También nos encontramos con 'Starblind', donde lo que mas destaca en esta ocasión no es tanto el trabajo de guitarras, si no plenamente la voz de Bruce Dickinson, que también sabe mostrar cambios cuando el tono es requerido.

'The Talisman' es el track con introducción de menos intensidad que encontraremos (todavia menos que en 'The Man Who Would Be King'), y es que aunque el tema es bueno, no cuenta con los elementos exactos para enganchar de manera adecuada, talvéz si este hubiera durado un poco menos habría sido distinto, porque definitivamente no logra el mismo exito que 'Isle Of Avalon'.

Finalmente hablemos de 'When the Wild Wind Blows' (porque es claro que no mencionamos todos los temas), esta canción es defintivamente muy especial, dando el sello de cierre al album que pocos esperabamos, es el tema mas largo, pero las melodías, el trabajo de guitarras y la voz son tremendamente entretenidas, aún así no será facilmente digerible por cualquiera gracias a su duración, pero defintivamente es una de las mejores del disco.

No crean que 'Coming Home', 'Mother of Mercy' y 'The Man who Would Be King' no son dignas de mencionar, porque si lo son, solo que quisimos apuntar a lo alto y lo bajo del disco en general, y es que este album tiene poco que despreciar, ¿porque?, porque los Maiden demostraron que saben probar distintos caminos y hacerlo bien, esperabamos algo distinto a sus últimos 3 discos no?, ahi lo tienen, ahora bien, si esperaban una replica de sus primeros trabajos quedarán desilusionados, pero el punto aqui es disfrutar de la enorme capacidad que todavía tiene la banda, porque si bien no escogieron el camino que especificamente algunos tenían en mente, y que también podría ser algo epico, si nos demuestran que la creatividad/tecnica/energia siguen encendidas a muy buena altura.

No es el mejor disco de la banda, pero si el mejor en mucho tiempo, ¿porque?, porque no es algo que hayamos escuchado en mucho tiempo por parte de ellos, porque demuestra que no solo siguen en el negocio para hacer dinero, y demuestran también pueden captar nuestra atención con otro tipo de matices y sonidos.

Ya estamos en la parte final del año y como es costumbre se comienzan a hacer re-capitualciones sobre todo lo que vió la luz en este 2009, y como ya sabemos, grandes albumes del Metal fueron lanzados a lo largo de los meses, los primeros en darnos su lista son los muchachos de DevilDriver.

01- Alice In Chains- Black Gives Way To Blue
Dez: Es genial tener un nuevo disco de una de las mejores bandas de la historia.

02- Mastodon- Crack The Skye
Dez: Una banda increible en vivo y en sus discos, este es grandioso, además son geniales personas todos.

03- Behemoth- Evangelion
Dez: Grandioso Heavy Metal Polaco, además son grandes musicos y personas.

04- Megadeth- Endgame
Dez: Uno de los mejores discos que Dave ha sacado, de principio a fin es un ganador.

05- Thy Will Be Done- In Ancient Of Days
Dez: Heavy /hardcore /metal… Son grandiosos en vivo y en el escenario, cuando J dice “Nosotros escuchamos a Sabbath y Slayer, y no importa si uds. no “ me encanta!

06- Slayer- World Painted Blood
Dez: Por dios! Suena mucho mas influenciado por el Punk, Los primeros 2 minutos y 40 segundos del primer track, suena a puro punk-rock, me encanta!

07- AC/DC- Black Ice
Dez: La mejor banda del mundo, simplemente no pueden hacerlo mal!, es una elección segura.!

08- Rammstein- Liebe Ist Für Alle Da
Dez: Un poco con el estilo de sus viejos trabajos, Mike dice “Mucho mejor que sus anteriores 2 discos.” En vivo son Enormes.!

** Se advierte que se sabe que el album de AC/DC es del 2008, pero que la gente de Metal Hammer no tuvo corazón para contradecirlos.

Un lista interesante, aunque cuenta desde luego con sus curiosidades como... Nirvana, Pink Floyd, y algunos otros que no son considerados precisamente como Metal, (bueno los mencionados, muy lejos de ser Metal), pero siempre pasa asi, ahora que el primer lugar sea para Master Of Puppets de Metallica, yo soy un enorme fan de ese album, y creo que es el mejor trabajo de Thrash Metal en la epoca y la historia del subgenero, pero no se si de todo el Metal en general, y probablemente Megadeth debió quedar dentro del Top 10, pero asi son estas listas, que no dejan de ser una recopilación de trabajos con gran calidad y que marcaron el paso en la historia de la música, y como son elegidos por popularidad me parece una lista muy decente.

Hellyeah, (Recomendación de la semana)

Ahora que se estan poniendo tan de moda las "Super Bandas", no estaría mal de voltear hacia el Metal y recomendar una de ellas, que aunque solo tienen un album, la verdad es, que es un buen material y con una alineación sumamente interesante, que seguramente la mayoria ya conoceran, pero quienes por alguna razón todavia no lo hacen, aqui se las presentamos.

Hellyeah es:

* Chad Gray - Voz (Mudvayne)
* Tom Maxwell - Guitarra (Nothingface)
* Greg Tribbett - Guitarra (Mudvayne)
* Bob Zilla - Bajo (Damageplan)
* Vinnie Paul - Batería (Pantera, Damageplan)

El resultado es por supuesto una mezcla de estilos, es de esperarse que la voz de Chad Gray nos haga relacionarlos inmediatamente con Mudvayne, sin embargo escuchando 1 par de rolas solamente, se darán cuenta que si bien esta estilo plasmado de dicha banda, en nada se parece a sus 2 últimos discos, de hecho el señor Vinnie Paul pone orden en el sonido de la banda para que se escuche bien y como se debe, algo que parece Mudvayne ha olvidado un poco, y las adiciones de Tom Maxwell y Bob Zilla agregan bastante poder a la formación

Y aunque ningún track del disco tiene desperdicio, destacan: "Hellyeah", "You Wouldn't Know", "Alcohaulin' Ass", "Matter Of Time" y "Thank You".

El disco fue lanzado en el 2007, y posteriormente también vió la luz un DVD llamado "Below the Belt", la banda tiene un sonido bastante solido y agresivo, muy disfrutable con buenas letras (la mayoría), y de la cual esperamos escuchar nuevas noticias pronto, aunque ya hay rumores sobre un nuevo album en camino.

Si no han esuchado el disco, es su oportunidad, solo por favor no vayan a querer compararlos con Pantera, porque para nada tienen que ver con aquella legendaria banda.

Debo admitir que personalmente estoy ansiso de que llegue el mes de Septiembre pues habrá grandes lanzamientos en el mundo de Metal, pero no por eso dejaremos de anunciar los que habrá este mes de Agosto, porque si bien no son los estelares o los mas esperados, si hay items muy interesantes que verán la luz.
